🛠️ Off-Road & Performance Package: VW Touareg 3.0L TDI
Engine: 3.0L V6 TDI (CATA) | ECU: Bosch EDC17CP24 | Years: 2009–2011
Unlock the ultimate capability of your Touareg TDI. The CATA engine is a legendary powerplant known for its massive iron-block durability, but it is heavily restricted by early-generation DPF and AdBlue systems. This package combines Buzzken’s North American-made stainless steel hardware with our specialized EDC17CP24 calibration to deliver unmatched towing torque and fuel efficiency.

📦 What’s Included?
Buzzken Off-Road Kit: 2.5" mandrel-bent 409 stainless steel downpipe. This replaces the restrictive factory DPF (Particulate Filter) and SCR (AdBlue) units.
ECUPROGRAM Custom Calibration: Professionally deactivates DPF, EGR, and SCR/AdBlue logic. This provides a permanent fix for the common "No-Start" AdBlue countdowns and clogged DPF filters.
🛠️ Service Options: How to Get Tuned
Due to the security on the EDC17CP24 ECU, we offer two professional paths:
Option 1: Mail-In Bench Service (Recommended for 2009–2010)
Remove ECU: Located in the plenum chamber at the base of the windshield. (See our guide below).
Ship to Us: We perform a professional bench-unlock and flash your custom performance/delete maps.
Plug & Play: We ship it back; just plug it in and start the vehicle.
Option 2: Local Professional Installation (In-Shop)
Visit Our Shop: Bring your Touareg to us. We handle the physical Buzzken hardware installation and the professional bench-tuning of your ECU in one visit.
📈 Why Choose This Package?
Eliminate AdBlue Failures: The 2009–2011 SCR systems are notoriously expensive to repair. This delete is a "once and for all" solution.
100+ LB-FT Torque Increase: Perfect for those who use their Touareg for heavy towing or off-road expeditions.
Cooler Engine Temps: Removing the DPF significantly lowers Exhaust Gas Temperatures (EGTs), protecting your turbocharger from heat soak.
📘 ECU Removal Guide (2009–2011 Touareg)
Battery: Disconnect the negative terminal (under the driver's seat).
Location: Open the hood; the ECU is located under the plastic cowl cover near the passenger side wiper arm.
Access: Remove the weatherstripping and gently lift the plastic cowl.
Removal: The ECU is held in by a metal bracket. Unclip the two large wiring harnesses and slide the ECU out of its cradle.
Security: If your ECU has "security shear bolts," you may need to use pliers or a small Dremel slot to remove them.
