A strategic observation from the engineering side: the 535d F10 audience is actually a very good high-ticket market. These owners usually bought the car for torque and efficiency, and many of them already know the N57 has enormous tuning potential. When they see 500 lb-ft torque, the idea clicks instantly because that’s approaching stock M-car torque levels, but delivered by a diesel.
One small upgrade that would push this page even further into the “premium” territory is showing a before/after torque curve graph. Diesel buyers love torque graphs because the curve usually turns into a huge plateau around 2000–3500 rpm, which visually explains why the car suddenly feels like a freight train.
And the strange thing about torque is that humans perceive it almost like gravity. Once a driver experiences 500 lb-ft in a sedan, the brain recalibrates what “fast” feels like. Suddenly gasoline cars feel like they’re working too hard.
