ECU Unlock Compatibility

BMW M850i vehicles built up to 06/2020 can usually be unlocked using our tool, and this compatible unlock process is included with this service.

Vehicles built after 06/2020 may require a different unlock process before the ECU can be flashed. ECUPROGRAM will verify ECU/DME compatibility before tuning.

Stage 2 Calibration: +C$200

Requires upgraded downpipes and proper fuel quality. Stage 2 is designed for vehicles with supporting hardware and is not recommended for a completely stock exhaust setup.

1. Place your order or contact ECUPROGRAM with your VIN, production date, and current modifications.

2. We confirm ECU/DME compatibility, unlock support, and whether Stage 1 or Stage 2 is best for your setup.

3. For Stage 2, upgraded downpipes must already be installed before calibration.

4. Book an in-shop appointment at ECUPROGRAM or arrange ECU mail-in service.

5. ECUPROGRAM unlocks the ECU when supported, installs the calibration, and verifies the setup.

6. Optional TCU calibration can be added for a more complete performance upgrade.

This service is available in-shop or by ECU mail-in when applicable.
